Congratulations Daredevils! GC Daredevils (U14) completed an extremely rewarding season this past weekend with a 3-0 win against East Meadow. Giving up just one loss the entire season, the Daredevils became a force in Division 1 this spring. Over the year, the efforts of coach/trainer Paul LeSeur and assistants Charlie Frumberg and Sylan, were evident as the girls matured into a well-balanced team, delivering 14 goals and giving up only 8 to some high caliber opponents.

Defensively, Kelsey Tierney is the anchor in the net, often saving amazing shots from her other teammates in the Long Island ODP club! She's not alone, though. Niki Berkery effectively moved the defensive line as Taylor Pappas and Nicole Bommarito consistently shut down the wings. Erin Greiner controlled the center and made significant contributions through penalty and corner kicks. Maintaining the balance, were Brynn Murphy, Courtney Studdert and Jenna Pasquale who transitioned the ball well from defense to offense at half field, along with Liesl Jaye who never gives up!

Offensively, playmaker Carly Knowles consistently won the ball and created action at the net, while Addie Zebrowski and Stephanie DiPierro were exceptional finishers this year as the offense came alive, with Jane Frumberg keeping the pressure on the front line. Over the year, Lily Schmitt showed her defensive strength and offensive skill, successfully landing a header into the net in the final game.

All of the players will be returning next year, which is a true testimony to their team spirit, comaraderie... and the fact they had FUN! They are thrilled to be welcoming Mimi Johnson, Deidre McGuinness, Caitlin Mallon, and Amanda Diller to the Daredevils for next season. Good seats are available for the fall... come check them out!
