Julia Cupolo Julia Cupolo, an eighth grader at Garden City Middle School, has been selected as a student ambassador for "The Land of the Rising Sun" program offered through the People to People organization. Julia will be traveling to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima for two weeks in July to develop a deeper understanding of the Japanese culture and to represent American youth while in Japan. A talented anime artist, Julia is anticipating the anime workshop given by leading animators in a commercial studio. Another highlight of the program includes a three day homestay visit with a Japanese family. All of her friends and family wish her the very best! Sayonara!
