Rotacare Receives Generous Donation

At the June 8 meeting of the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club, Emily Franchina, (Franchina & Giordano), newly installed president of the Nassau County Bar Association and active Rotarian, presented Jim Brady, Past Rotary President and current President of Rotacare, a check for $5000 on behalf of the Bar Association's WE CARE Fund. WE CARE is supported through donations and fundraising efforts of the legal profession which disburses the funds through charitable grants "to improve the quality of life for children, the elderly and others in need throughout Nassau County." The mission of Rotacare is to facilitate free health care for the relief of pain and suffering to those who have the greatest need and the least access to health care.
