The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program is offering new support groups this summer. There is no cost for any group; however pre- registration is required. Groups meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work in Garden City.

For women newly diagnosed with breast cancer - Monday evenings; meets weekly for eight weeks, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., tentatively beginning June 15.

For women with metastatic breast cancer - Tuesday evenings; ongoing group meets weekly from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

For women with breast cancer - Tuesday mornings; meets weekly for eight weeks, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., tentatively beginning on June 16.

For women post-treatment - Thursday evenings; meets weekly for eight weeks, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., tentatively beginning on June 18.

The Close Knit Group - second Thursday of the month, afternoon. This is a support and handicraft group (knitting, crocheting, sewing), meeting from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 11, July 9 and anyone who is worried about breast cancer should call the hotline for help. You are not alone.
