The proud GC Warriors with their second place medals As the Warriors neared the end of what became a very tough season in Division 2 of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, they had hoped to finish off a very good run in the State Cup Challenge with a victory over the Woodhaven Warriors this past Saturday. With two victories over Woodhaven last spring, the GC Warriors felt confident that they could emerge as Champions in the final match up at Pamona, NY. Unfortunately, that was not to be the case this time. Though they played hard throughout the match and demonstrated the heart they had found along the way this season, the Warriors fell to Woodhaven 3-1 taking solice in a solid second place finish. It was nonetheless a good effort by the U12 boys, who hope to regroup for a much better showing in the year to come. Onthree- Go Warriors!
