Laurel Fisher and Robert McCarthy ended the night with 1st place finishes in the 800m On Thursday night June 4th, the St. Anne's Track Team competed in the CYO Regional Qualifiers. Led by the individual 1st place finishes of Jen Gerland (6th grade-mile), Stephanie Gerland (5th grade-mile) and Laurel Fisher (6th grade 800 meters); coupled with four additional 1st place finishes by the 8th grade girls, the St. Anne's Girls Team won the night. The 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls and 4th -8th grade boys added victories in the relays, shot put and long jump. Special kudos to 8th graders Jenn Pasquale and Deidre McGuiness, and 7th grader Ethan Garcia who won three medals apiece. Next up will be the CYO Championships on Thursday night June 18th at Mitchell field where the competition promises to be tough with qualifiers from both Nassau and Suffolk County competing.
