Dr. Megan Lawson Sharpe, daughter of David and Joan Lawson of Garden City received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine on May 17, 2009. Megan has accepted an internship in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, a teaching hospital of University of Pennsylvania and the oldest hospital in the United States, founded by Benjamin Franklin and Dr. Thomas Bond in 1751. In July 2010, she will start her residency in Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia. She and her husband, Dr. Richard Sharpe, reside in Philadelphia.

Megan is a graduate of St. Joseph's School, Sacred Heart Academy, Class of 1998 and Georgetown University Class of 2002.
