The 2009 golf season opened on a beautiful, warm, sunny April 28 th at Cherry Valley Club. The 18-holers kicked off their season with a Lauderdale team tournament. The conditions were perfect as one of the U.S. Open qualifiers was to be held at Cherry Valley a few weeks hence.

Leading the field at the end of the day were:

First place: Ginger Cullen, Dodi Caliari, Aileen Pappas, Maureen Corrigan.

Second place: Adele Fialcowitz, Mary Finneran, Sandy Engelke, Betty Kraus

Third place: Ann Marie Blatz, Jane Berardino, Brenda Wydler

Fourth place: Debbie Honerkamp, Nancy Peretz, Beth Castronovo, Lynn Pisani

Fifth place: Anne Sardelis, Mary Gallagher, Karen Vincenzini, Terry Casale

Sixth place: Pat Finnican, Lenore Beesley, Rose Mary Ducey, Johana Rosato

Chairlady Diane Brady is looking forward to a successful golf season along with her board: Irene Davis, tournament chairlady, Liz Frumberg, secretary and JoAnn Ricca as treasurer.
