To get to the LI Championship, the girls first had to beat Syosset for the Nassau title. From there, they advanced to the LI Championship where they defeated Smithtown West 459-474 on Tuesday May 26th at Eisenhower Red. Erica Gambardella shot an 11-over-par 83 and Sam Sessa shot 92 to lead the Trojans. Marisa Cameron shot 93, Kara Ciccone shot 94 and Alex Michielini and Laura Ketigian each shot 97 for the Trojans.

Gambardella, Sessa and Michielini are all preparing for the New York State girls golf championship this weekend at Foxfire Country Club in Baldwinsville.
