ON FRIDAY, JUNE 5 , Red Molly (Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner and Carolann Solebello) will perform in concert at Garden Stage at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 8 p.m. Red Molly's first full-length offering, Never Been to Vegas, was released in July 2006. Recorded before a studio audience of fans and friends, it is a collection of 14 carefully chosen songs that span more than a century of great American songwriting... ALSO THAT DAY, at Seventh Street, in Garden City, come to A Salute to America, the 12th annual Belmont Festival at Garden City. This year's event, which will have a red, white and blue theme, will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Seventh St. The United States Air Force Band, the Afterburners, will be featured along with several other bands. There will be some new special events along with activities for the children including face painters and clowns... ON SATURDAY, June 6, there will be a Dodge Ball Tournament/Dance presented by the Altar Server and Youth Ministries. The tournament will be held in the McCloskey Auditorium at St. Anne's. Grades 3 to 5 from noon to 2 p.m. Grades 6 to 12 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Snacks, drinks, awesome raffle baskets, Guitar Hero, rock band. Mass in the church at 5 p.m. Dance at Club Dodge featuring DJ C Jam in the cafeteria from 7 to 10 p.m. Fruity smoothies, amazing blender drinks. Tickets $10 per person. Dance at Club Dodge tickets $5 per person. The program will benefit parish families in need... COME FOR THE LAST social event of the season at the Garden City Country Club for the end- of- the year barbecue from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., that Saturday! It's going to be a great night at the Garden City Country Club with unlimited beer, wine and soda and a full barbecue menu. There will be live music all night. ON MAY 21, DUE to similar burglaries in the GC area, police aided the Third Precinct with an investigation where PO Tuohy and PO McCarthy arrested a GC man for burglary at Euston Road. Previously he allegedly committed burglaries at Fernwood Terrace and at Elton Avenue in Stewart Manor. Two burglaries at the west end of GC were closed... ON MAY 29, a 48-year-old NHP woman was arrested for the alleged theft of $419 in items at Lord and Taylor, Franklin Avenue. She allegedly took 2 Free People blouse, a Free People skirt, and 1 velvet tee shirt valued at $75... ON MAY 31, PO Oswald arrested a 21-year-old Hempstead male at Hilton Avenue after the motorist was allegedly DWI-drugs, DWI-alcohol with an alleged BAC of .08%, in possession of cocaine, and driving without a license. He was also charged with allegedly making an illegal turn, an alleged unsafe lane change, and the alleged failure to signal... ON MAY 30, a 17-year-old Merrick male was issued an appearance ticket for allegedly having alcohol at Brixton Road... ON MAY 28, two 15-year-old male youths from Freeport were arrested for grand larceny at Lord and Taylor after they allegedly took several designer jeans including Hudson jeans, and Ed Hardy, Diesel, and Lauren tops... On May 27, it was reported that someone had stolen a $190 Motorola cable box from an April tag sale at Stewart Avenue... ON MAY 2, detectives arrested a 17-year-old Westbury male who allegedly had struck a 22-year-old GC man with a wine bottle causing him to receive 40 stitches in his head on April 27... ON MAY 28, the PD issued two 19-year-old males from GC and a 20-year-old GC male with appearance tickets for the allleged possession of alcohol... Also on May 28, detectives reported the arrests of a 13-year-old, 14-year-old, and 15-year-old; all from Hempstead, for allegedly creating graffiti at the Meadow Street overpass...

AN INVESTIGATION at 601 Franklin Avenue on June 1, showed that workmen who had been remodeling a second floor bath there, removed a toilet causing a sewer gas odor throughout the building...
