Garden City Bird Sanctuary Groundbreaking
Nassau County Legislator Vincent Muscarella attended the"Official Groundbreaking Ceremony" of the wetlands meadow to be installed at the Garden City Bird Sanctuary. Funding was provided under the 2006 Nassau County Environmental Bond. The residents adopted this site almost 15 years ago, and it became the premier pilot program for 'dual use" of sumps by local communities for passive parks, nature preserves, and recreational fields.
