BETWEEN MAY 4 and May 25, an $150 mountain bike valued at$150 was taken from a detached garage at a Hilton Avenue location...ON MAY 15, 1:10 p.m., police observed a man exposing himself in a lewd manner while sitting in his car at Cherry Valley Avenue, and the man, a 69-year-old from Farmingdale, was arrested for public lewdness...ON MAY 20, PO's Tuohy and Walsh arrested two 20-year-old males from Seaford for allegedly stealing lacrosse equipment from the men's locker room at Adelphi University...On May 23, PO Walsh arested a 45-year-old Hempstead woman for the alleged larceny of a $500 Coach handbag at Lord and Taylor, Franklin Avenue. She was also charged with the alleged endangerment of the welfare of a child because she had handed the stolen item to her 7-year-old boy...ON MAY 23, after midnight, PO Wehr and PO Reynolds were investigating a call in the area of Kellum Place when a car collided with the car Reynolds was in. He was taken to the hospital for neck and back injuries, and the 23-year-old motorist who had hit his car was arrested after he was apprehended for alleged DWI (.17%), 2 counts of leaving the scene of an accident( the motorist had also left a scene of a car accident that had occurred just previously at Main Street in Hempstead), and for the possession of cocaine...ON MAY 24, 4:20 a.m., PO Oswald arrested a 24-year-old Hempstead man for driving in between lanes at Meadow Street. There was a seatbelt stop at Clinton Road, on May 18. There were 14 seatbelt violations; 1 for child seat, 2 suspended licenses, 4 miscellaneous...ON MAY 23, at NHP Road, there were 14 seatbelt violations, 2 suspended licenses and with 2 unlicensed operators...ON MAY 25, Nassau Blvd., there were 17 seatbelt violations; 1 for suspended license and 5 miscellaneous...ON MAY 26, at Clinton Road, there were 24 seatbelt violations, with 2 child seat violations and 1 unlicensed operation... ON MAY 27, at NHP Road, there were 9 seatbelt violations, with 4 miscellaneous...

FIRE RESPONSES:

A WEYFORD Terrace homeowner was locked out on May 25, and the FD extended a ladder to a second floor bedroom to gain entry...BURNT LINT caused an odor at a Locust Street house on May 26 and firemen turned off gas/electric there...A BOMB SCARE occurred at Supreme Court Drive on May 26, but nothing was found...
