Zach and Alex Morris, twin brothers and sophomores at Garden City High School, competed as singles players in the Nassau County Tennis Championships held at Oceanside High School May 9th and 10th. Alex succeeded at winning his first two matches and made it to the round 16 before falling to the number 6 seed in the tournament.

As the number 3 seed in the tournament, Zach Morris (pictured here with his trophy plaque) had two wins in the quarterfinals; moved on to win in the semi-finals, but was defeated in the finals. Zach's efforts placed him 2nd in Nassau County and earned him a spot on this year's state team. He will compete at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, May 28th-May 30th.
