Pictured here are members of Garden City Public School's Transportation Department to whom the district would like to extend a special thank you for their daily efforts and extraordinary record of service on behalf of our children. Did you know that Garden City Public Schools Transportation Department coordinates and buses 3,849 students throughout the district and to private schools every day of the school year? Each morning 50 buses depart the district's Bus Garage on Cherry Valley Avenue and transport students to their schools. In the afternoon, 53 bus routes carry the students safely home to their parents.

May 11-15 is School Transportation Personnel Appreciation Week. During this week, we celebrate the fine work and dedication demonstrated all year by school bus drivers, mechanics, attendants, dispatchers, and supervisors who work with such commitment to the safety and comfort of the students of Garden City.
