A resident of Garden City for over 25 years Roger Eltringham has served as president and leader of many organizations. Currently the President of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce, Roger has served as past president of the Garden City Jaycees, Leukemia Society of America, Kiwanis Club of Garden City, Eastern Property Owners' Association of Garden City (EPOA) and former Chairperson of the Joint Conference of Garden City Property Owners' Associations. Betty Erdos
Through a lifetime of giving to others, volunteerism is in the fabric of Betty Erdos. An Associate of the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, her continuous work to give back to her community, neighbors, church and those less fortunate has earned her this well deserved award. Betty's ever growing list of volunteer activities include being Committee Chair and recently elected Vice President of the St. Joseph's Rosary Altar Society and an active worker at Rotocare, a clinic in Uniondale, providing free healthcare and medications to the medically uninsured, homeless and working poor. Betty also visits people in their homes that are unable to get out and to a home for disabled adults in Rockaway Beach. Once a week Betty is a Eucharistic Minister in the Pastoral Care Department at Winthrop University Hospital and serves as an active volunteer in the American Legion.
In true Kiwanis spirit, please join us in recognition of these two exceptional volunteers in Garden City. For additional information or to RSVP to the dinner please call or email Gloria Sena at 516-739-1584 or glscpa@optonline.net
