Asthma Center Holds "Game Night"
Mineola, NY - Are you tired of the same old asthma lecture? Winthrop-University Hospital's Asthma Center is hosting a Game Night that will help you test your knowledge and learn a thing or two about the latest available treatments. The fun-filled evening will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Winthrop Wellness Pavilion, located at 1300 Franklin Avenue, Garden City, Suite ML-5. The event is perfect for those who are newly diagnosed as well as those who have dealt with asthma in the past.
Formatted after the TV show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," Game Night's attendees will have the opportunity to become "contestants" and answer questions about asthma for prizes. The program will be run by pulmonary healthcare professionals from Winthrop's Asthma Center. Light refreshments will be served.
Admission is free, but seating is limited. Registration is required. Please call 516-663-2579 for further information or to reserve your seat.
The Asthma Center is part of the Institute for Lung Care at Winthrop. Focusing on clinical, research and educational missions, its aim is to improve the quality of life for both children and adults who suffer from this disease.
