Newest Daredevil, Taylor Britvan, makes a move. In Round 2 of the Waldbaum's Cup, the Daredevils played extremely hard against the reputable RVC team. At the end of regulation time, the game was tied 1-1, with a goal setup by Carly Knowles to Stephanie Di Pierro, who put it into the net — a familiar sight these days! In sudden death overtime, they relinquished the game to RVC on an unstoppable goal. Back to league play, they faced Lake Grove Lightening in the previous week in the brutal heat. With limited subs, the Daredevils played persistent, yet smart - realizing they needed to maintain their level of play to the end, and they did.

Through both games, the defensive end held their own with consistent, solid play. Kelsey Tierney owned the net, while Niki Berkery displayed leadership by aggressively moving the line. Taylor Pappas, Nicole Bommarito and Brynn Murphy showed their versatility on defense and offense. For Courtney Studdert , Jenna Pasquale, and Erin Greiner - endurance was the name of the game, as they held steady at midfield. Against an extremely strong team, Addie Zebrowski and Jane Frumberg stayed persistent offensively, creating several opportunities. Down 1-0, Lily Schmitt came through with a "push" up the field to "gritty" Carly Knowles, who tied the game. The entire team played exceptional.

Jenna Pasquale moves the ball upfield, with Greiner, Bommarito and Knowles supporting. But, last week's game against Deer Park shifted the tide. Erin Greiner kicked off the scoring with a successful penalty kick, after Addie Zebrowski took a foul. Zebrowski had an exceptional showing on offense with a fantastic hatrick - seemingly in the right place with the right touch, on several plays. DiPierro snuck a beautiful shot into the upper corner while Greiner, Schmitt and Knowles contributed assists. Newest Daredevil, Taylor Britvan, played hard and showed she was a great addition to the team. In the end, they walked away with a 5-3 win against a very good team (who we don't believe was infected with the flu.)
