Second graders in Miss Virginia McCavera's class at Stratford School had some extra friends in class for a day. The students enjoyed Teddy Bear Day with a pancake breakfast to begin in morning. Parents cooked a delicious breakfast of pancakes with syrup and honey. Everyone got into the spirit of the day by dressing in their pajamas, robes and slippers. Then it was back to work with the day's focus on bears. Students read stories and computed math problems about bears, and wrote wonderful stories about teddy bears. The students worked cooperatively on various assignments. It was a special day for all!
