The second graders in Miss McCavera's class enjoyed thinking about what they wanted to be when they grow up. Many of the students think they will have careers in sports and came in wearing their football and baseball uniforms. Some children hope to be doctors, artists, veterinarians and write children's books.

Each student had the opportunity to tell the class about his or her career choice and to write about it in the journal.
