Rayhill ~ Raskopf Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. William Raskopf
Melissa Lynn Rayhill and William Thomas Raskopf were married Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, NY. the Rev. Barbara Hosmer, a longtime friend of Raskopf family, performed the ceremony in an outdoor setting overlooking the Niagara River. A reception followed both on the terrace and within the ballroom of the Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Donnette Rayhill of Grand Island, NY, who started the wedding festivities with a pool party at their beautiful home on Thursday, June 19 for all wedding guests able to attend. Melissa graduated from Grand Island High School in 2001 and from Boston University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2005.
The groom is the son of Kathryn Harrison of West Hempstead and Vincent Raskopf of Staten Island, who hosted the rehearsal dinner for the bridal party and family members at Top of The Falls Restaurant which afforded a magnificent view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Will graduated from Garden City High School in 2000 and from Boston University with a B.S. in Film and Television in 2004.
Kristina Tetkowski served as Maid of Honor for her best friend. Bridesmaids were Nicole Raskopf (sister-in-law of the couple,) Charlotte Milch (cousin of the bride,) Becky Brown, Kristen Cabildo and Alla Davitt. Flower girls were Lauren Hennigar (cousin of the bride) and Julia Raskopf (niece of the
couple.)
Vyn Raskopf served as Best Man for his brother. Groomsmen were Thomas Rayhill (brother of the bride,) and Todd Blass, Timothy Cha, Marc Hosmer, Gregory Livoti and Charles Schulz, all friends of the groom from Garden City High School. James Rayhill and Michael Rayhill (brothers of the bride,) served as Ushers and Grant Hennigar (cousin of the bride,) was the Ring Bearer.
After a final celebration of Sunday brunch at the Rayhills' home, the guests dispersed and the bride and groom left for their honeymoon at Sandals in the Bahamas.
Mr. Raskopf is currently the Research Marketing Coordinator at LP Ciminelli in Buffalo and Mrs. Raskopf is about to complete her third year of medical school at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical sciences. They currently reside on Grand Island.
