POLICE REPORT: MISCHIEF AND MAYHEM
ON APRIL 27, detectives arrested a 20-year-old Dix Hills man for allegedly taking credit cards at the GC Hotel on December 6 last year... On April 25, a 2003 Mercury was broken into at Heath Place, and an EZ pass and $25 was taken... ON APRIL 26, 4:45 a.m., PO Oswald arrested a motorist for alleged DWI (.19%) and numerous other traffic violations including no insurance, no seatbelt and a suspended license after the motorist almost struck a his car at Clinton Road... PO HUDAK arrested a 28-year-old Brentwood man at Clinton Rd. on April 23 after the motorist was driving without brake lights there. The charges included aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd for a prior DWI charge, unlicensed operation, and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd... ON APRIL 21, a maroon Jeep Cherokee valued at $1,000 was stolen from GC Plaza... ON APRIL 23, police conducted Operation Safe Stop, a passenger school bus initiative and speed zone initiative in conjunction with the state and county. 15 school buses were followed with no violations observed, although there were 17 traffic violations including 3 for speeding in a school zone, 2 suspended license violations, and 1 cell phone violation...

A GAS LEAK occurred at a Kenwood Rd. residence on April 22.... A cleaning lady set off an alarm at a Third Street residence on April 23... A Car Running for quite some time evidently caused high carbon monoxide readings at a Willow Street house on April 26... A Booster was used to extinguish a brush fire near the railroad tracks at Chestnut Street on April 26... A Gas Main was punctured on April 27 at Salisbury Avenue...
