It was a grueling schedule that required physical endurance, mental toughness and the ability to answer questions about everything from chemistry to the board game Monopoly. When the dust cleared, "Team McAuley", comprised of (left to right) Zack Zeno, Donnie Casler, Peter Cohn, and teacher Mr. Scott McCauley, won the title of Intramural Quiz Bowl Champions for 2009. Twelve teams made up of three Garden City High School students and one teacher competed in three rounds, a semi-final and a final round of trivia questions. It was an intense, but fun, experience for all of the participants. The competition has been a long standing tradition at the high school initiated by former social studies coordinator Mr. Doug Sheer and currently run by social studies teacher Mr. Kevin O'Hagan. The students are already formulating plans and confirming teams for next year's competition!!
