Community Church Celebrates Palm Sunday
Emily & Bobby Clarke helping with the carabiner craft Palm Sunday was a very special day with the Garden City Community Church. Amid the fanfare of this holy day, the church celebrated with a Palm Sunday Breakfast. The Membership Life & Development Committee, headed by Chris Adelmann, treated church members and friends to a wonderful breakfast. With the aid of expert cook, Melva Victorino, the committee served eggs, ham, fruit salad, home fries and bagels. A special craft for the children consisted of carabiner key rings in the shape of a cross, decorated with colorful beads.
Also, as part of Palm Sunday festivities, several families officially joined the church. They are the Lippens family, the Rose family, the Hart family & Mico Faella.
The Garden City Community Church is located at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Whitehall Boulevard. It's a warm, caring church with a place for everyone. Church School is held during the regular service at 10:30 am, with babysitting in the Crib Room for children under 2 years old (equipped with silent pagers).
