Amid the fanfare of this holy day, the church celebrated with a Palm Sunday Breakfast. The Membership Life & Development Committee, headed by Chris Adelmann, treated church members and friends to a wonderful breakfast. With the aid of expert cook, Melva Victorino, the committee served eggs, ham, fruit salad, home fries and bagels. A special craft for the children consisted of carabiner key rings in the shape of a cross, decorated with colorful beads.

Also, as part of Palm Sunday festivities, several families officially joined the church. They are the Lippens family, the Rose family, the Hart family & Mico Faella.

The Garden City Community Church is located at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Whitehall Boulevard. It's a warm, caring church with a place for everyone. The church is part of the United Church of Christ. On Sundays it has 8:30 am Communion in the Chapel and 10:30 am worship in the Sanctuary. The Forum is held at 9:15am. Church School is held during the regular service at 10:30 am, with babysitting in the Crib Room for children under 2 years old (equipped with silent pagers).
