Catell To Receive Energy Award
Robert Catell
The United States Energy Association Energy Award Selection Committee has selected Garden City resident Robert Catell, Chairman of National Grid, U.S. to receive the prestigious United States Energy Award for 2009. Mr. Catell joins a prestigious list of individuals who have committed their time to building the respect of the industry through corporate and public leadership.
Corporately, he built a small, regional utility in Brooklyn into one of the largest electric and gas providers in the US, a strategic part of a world-scale energy company. He also served the community through countless hours of support in the not-for-profit sector through board service, mentoring, chairing and leading a force of volunteers. He has chaired every major energy and business organization in New York State, New York City, and Long Island.
Bob has chaired the U.S. Energy Association, the American Gas Association and numerous committees for national industry associations, including the Edison Electric Institute. He aligns his values with those of the U.S. Energy Association.
Catell will be recognized at the 2009 Annual membership meeting of the United States Energy Association, to be held April 15 in Washington, DC, at the National Press Club.
