ON APRIL 13, unknown persons broke the glass to a vending machine in the Stewart Field House. Damage was $200... Between April 9 and 13, unknown persons damaged one tire on 4 different vehicles at a Franklin Ave business. $1,000 in damage... ON APRIL 13, PO Sommer was conducting speed enforcement on Rockaway Ave when he stopped a 32-year-old male from NY, NY for alleged speeding at 51 in a 30. Upon investigation, the man was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd for having 4 suspensions on 4 dates... BETWEEN APRIL 8 and 9, two windows to a Franklin Ave business were found damaged. $2,200 in damages... DURING THE same period of time, unknown persons broke a tail light and scratched the driver's side to a 2004 Audi parked in a Kingsbury Rd driveway. Damage was $250... ON APRIL 8, a light pole to a Wyatt Rd residence was knocked down. $500 in damages... BETWEEN APRIL 9 and 10, a Dell computer and a computer game were removed from a vehicle parked in a Hayes Street driveway... ON APRIL 11, PO OSWALD arrested a 30-year-old man from Freeport on Meadow St. for alleged DWI (.11% BAC) and driving the wrong way on a one-way-street there... ON APRIL 6, a truck inspection was conducted at Clinton Rd, with 10 trucks inspected, 38 tickets issued, and 1 truck placed out of service... ON APRIL 9, unknown persons damaged a 2008 Ford parked in Nassau County Field #8 by throwing a brick through its rear window. $250 in damage... ON APRIL 7, PO Florio arrested a 30-year-old man from Elmont for forgery, possession of a forged instrument and identity theft at Lord and Taylor, because he was using a stolen credit card to buy merchandise valued at $656...

FIRE RESPONSES:

A CARBON MONOXIDE detector was activated however nothing was found at a Willow Street residence on April 8... FIREMEN WERE able to enter a Brook Street residence through a second floor window on that same day because an occupant there had been locked out... A fitting for a second floor toilet broke causing a major leak at a CAMBRIDGE AVENUE residence on April 8. Water came through the ceiling right to the basement level there and a wet/dry vacuum was used... A Fire Pit burning in the rear of 185 Rockaway Avenue caused light smoke in that area on the same day... A Mattress and sofa were found burning on the sidewalk near a Meadbrook Road residence on April 8. An investigation is underway... LUCKILY NO ONE was stuck in a elevator that stalled at a Seventh Street location on April 14 before the FD arrived. Repair personnel was made aware of the situation...
