Season officially begins. The GCYL 3rd Grade boys Leprechaun Warriors kicked off their 2009 Lacrosse Season with a win versus Half Hollow Hills at HHH East high school. After finishing the long trek to Suffolk the boys got loose quickly with 4 goals coming in the first quarter. The boys played many positions although the defense kept the Bulls at bay and Kdog hustled over and over for the pass shots to gain the Warriors possession of the ball. With the middies controlling the field most of the day and the attack putting constant pressure on the Bulls goalie, who had about 14 saves in all, the Leprechaun Warriors showed their drive to win and will to win 90% of the ground balls. Excellent job boys and keep up the good work. The coaches really appreciate how good you make us look both on and off the field. So Bravo.
