Centennial Soccer News Weekday Clinic
      Information The Centennials will be sponsoring Soccer Clinics for Girls in grades 1-9 and boys in grades 1-6 that are registered in our spring program. Our clinic program is presenting the opportunity to those children that would like to have some fun, enhance their skills and play more soccer.

      Applications have been mailed out for the 2009 season. If you are 7 years old with a birth date of 12/01/01 or later you are eligible to start your Thunder Football career. Power vs. Oyster Bay Endurance
      April 4, 2009 The Power (Girls U12) is off to a great spring season. Before each game the girls start off with the cheer, "Who Wants the Ball? Power Wants the Ball!" And for the past three weeks the girls have shown their determination on the field. On Sat., April 4, with Angela Coen and Danielle Ventre guarding the goal, OB Endurance scored only once.

Leprechaun Warriors Kick Off Season
      The GCYL 3rd Grade boys Leprechaun Warriors kicked off their 2009 Lacrosse Season with a win versus Half Hollow Hills at HHH East high school. After finishing the long trek to Suffolk the boys got loose quickly with 4 goals coming in the first quarter.

GCYL 3rd Grade Boys Open Lax Season
      The 3rd grade boys lacrosse teams opened the season with wins for all three teams. The Maroon 21 team kicked off their season with a home game against Port Washington. The boys came ready to face a tough opponent, but the GC boys took the lead within the first minute of the game.

Xtreme Host Shooting Stars At St Pauls
      This past Saturday the GC Xtreme entertained the West Islip Shooting Stars. In a very rare occurrence, the Xtreme got themselves involved in a shoot out with the visitors. Six goals were scored in the first half due to a howling wind. The team found themselves two goals behind at halftime and came out in the second half going full throttle to try to equalize the match.

GC Alum Plays At Brown
      Brown took a pair of tight games against Ivy rival Columbia on Sunday afternoon, as Bruno's bats continued to swing well. Sophomore Matt Colantonio of Garden City blasted a two-run walk-off home run to center field in the second game, bringing the fans to their feet and the team streaming out onto the field as the Bears ran their league win streak to six consecutive games.

GCAA Travel Baseball - U8 Warriors
      The GCAA baseball spring travel season started off with a bang this past Sunday, as the GC Warriors hosted the Long Island Inferno (Team 2) at Community Park.The Warriors won 11-1, relying on strong starting pitching from Billy Duff and a great closing performance from Layne Meyer, with Patrick Creaven and Matt DeSimpliciis holding the Inferno to just one run in the middle innings.
