Middle School Principal Receives Award
Dr. Peter Osroff (left), Garden City Middle School principal, recently received the Award of Excellence from the President of the Council of Administrators and Supervisors, Mr. Tony Laurino, at the February 2009 Delegate Assembly Meeting.
Dr. Osroff's comments to the Delegate Assembly centered on the importance of the high academic standards and addressing the social-emotional needs of all children at the middle school. "A great school does not only have high academic achievement but is also a warm and caring community. In particular, our Garden City Middle School teachers are exemplary in creating magic in their classrooms."
Garden City Middle School was recognized in the fall of 2008 as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, the highest rating bestowed on a school by the United States Department of Education.
