Garden City High School Theater Arts students joined drama students from across Long Island in early March at the Shakespeare Festival High School Scene Competition held at Hofstra University. The annual event is hosted by Hofstra's Department of Drama and Dance. Attending Garden City students presented Act I, Scene v from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The production was a cooperative effort involving selected 9-12 grade theater arts students guided by teacher Laura Rebecca.

Ms. Rebecca, a 1986 graduate of the Hofstra Drama Department, is advisor to the High School's chapter of the International Thespian Society, an internationally recognized Theater Honor Society affiliated with the Educational Theater Association (http://www.edta.org).
