Garden City High School Theater Arts students joined drama students from across Long Island in early March at the Shakespeare Festival High School Scene Competition held at Hofstra University. The annual event is hosted by Hofstra's Department of Drama and Dance. Attending Garden City students presented Act I, Scene v from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. More ... HOLA's Winter 2009 Spanish Classes ended this Monday, April 6th with the children singing Spanish songs and playing games. Buenisimo! Registration for the Spring 2009 session has begun. The tradition continues. On March 20, 2009 the Garden City PTA hosted the annual 12th Grade Dance and Parent Skit night. This event kicks off a series of celebrations honoring the graduating class. At 7:30 the students checked in, were handed sunglasses, and walked a red carpet to the cafeteria magically transformed into the Kodak theatre in Hollywood. More ...
