Naomi Zeitlin "A Celebration of Latin-American Music" a FREE concert will be performed by vocalist & guitarist Naomi Zeitlin on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. Enjoy songs from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Santo Domingo, Brazil, Cuba, and Chile sung in Spanish, Portuguese and English. Hear musical styles such as: Salsa, Merengues, Boleros, Folk Music, and Bossa Novas. For directions phone: (516) 742-8405. Seating and parking is limited and on a first-come first-served basis. No tickets are required. This public program is funded by The Friends of the Garden City Public Library.

Ms. Zeitlin has performed as the lead in musical theater as well as a vocalist in cabaret acts at locations throughout the New York/Metropolitan area. She was a member of "Music On Tour" a five-person group which had been performing in the tri-state area since 1992. They had been entertaining with their original revue "We're Into Love" to rave reviews at dinner theaters, cabaret clubs, parks, libraries, and more. Naomi has also sung in regional and community theater productions. She has performed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 3 years at Chez Elena's Restaurant. Her 2 CD releases are: "Colored Lights" and "Special Requests" which reflect a variety of musical styles.
