TEENS & TOTS STORYTIME AT THE POOL
TRAINING SESSIONS
Spring is just around the corner and it is time to start planning for the summer. The Young Adult Department in cooperation with the Garden City Department of Recreation will once again be offering Teens & Tots Storytime in the picnic area of the pool on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in July and the first week of August. If you are in 5th grade, this is the first time you will be eligible to be a reader!
To be a part of this summer program, you need to be trained. The Library will be offering training sessions, one for reading and book selection and a second for crafts and activities in April. Training for Session I will be given on April 16 at 10 AM, and April 22 at 4 PM. Training for Session II will be given April 16 at 12:30 PM, and April 22 at 7 PM. There will be an opportunity to make up either session on Saturday, June 13th.
Registration started Wednesday, February 25 and is ongoing. Those YAs in older grades who did not take advantage of training in previous years are invited to sign up and become part of this valued community service. As for all YA programs, you are invited to register in person at the YA desk, by phone at 742-8405, or by email to Mrs. Kelly at mkelly@gardencitypl.org.
