The Girls 6th to 8th Grade Division enjoyed its most successful season to date this year. Participation among the girls was very high and the competition was fierce. The two teams who finished 1st and 2nd in the regular season standings - the Storm, coached by Greg Raphael, and the Sparks, led my coach Mike Falco, advanced to the finals. The Championship game was a defensive struggle as the two teams were within four points of each other for the majority of the game. The Sparks exploded for four straight baskets in the final few minutes to shock the first-place Storm and capture the championship. Congratulations to all the girls and coaches for a well-played, competitive season.
