Banjo Rascals Plus Special Attraction At Easter Parade

The renowned Banjo Rascals are turning up for the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's 54th annual Easter Sunday Vintage Car Parade on April 12.
An added attraction this year will be seven characters promoting Kooza by Cirque du Soleil which opens at Randall's Island, New York City on April 16.
Promised to be tons of fun, spectators may pose for a photo with the Kooza crew in full costume, and be entered to win tickets to Kooza and a trip to Las Vegas. Daily winners will get their pictures published and win a pair of tickets to the show. The Kooza crew will be at the staging area in Parking Field 9E between Ninth and Tenth Streets at noon. The Kiwanis Easter Bunnies will be on hand with lollipops to delight the youngsters. They will lead off the parade down to Seventh Street where they will wander for picture-taking. There the Banjo Rascals will be strumming out their toe-tappin' tunes in front of Garden City Properties, 171 Seventh Street.
The Parade will step off at 1 p.m. heading south on Franklin Avenue from Tenth Street and west on Seventh Street to Hilton Avenue where it will Terminate. The Chamber acknowledges with thanks its sponsor, AAA New York for provision of dash plaques to vintage car owners who hail from throughout the metropolitan area and beyond; alto to Hengstenbergs and Feldis Florist for decorations for our Easter Trees.
