Garden Manor Nursery School Registering For 2009-2010
Pajama pancake Breakfast. Garden City Nursery School provides constant opportunities for all students to become social beings by playing and interacting with children of their own age. Our program includes music, art, an introduction to members and letters, storytime, show 'n tell, drama and free play.
We have had many exciting activities this year. We've done everything from a hayride at Hicks Nursery and celebrating National Pancake Day to using the fire hose during a visit to the Garden City Fire Department. Dr. Stacy Reynolds visited our school in February and taught the children about healthy teeth.
We are looking forward to a very busy spring. This month we are taking a trip to Alley Pond Environmental Center to learn about animals and our fantastic forests. In April we will visit the Garden City Library for storytime. After Spring break our caterpillars will arrive and we will watch them grow and transform into butterflies.
It's not too late to sign up for classes. Garden Manor is continuing to accept registrations for the September 2009-June 2010 school year. Boys and girls must be 3 or 4 years old by December 1, 2009 to begin school in September.
Garden Manor Nursery School is located at 33 Jefferson Street in western Garden City, three blocks west of New Hyde Park Road in Christ Episcopal Church. Please contact Carolyn Fernandez, Director, at 775-2626 for more information.
