Garden City - The Course

Once again Garden City Public Schools "Continuing Education" is offering the ultimate course on Garden City and its history. This very popular course is designed and taught by Village Historian John Ellis Kordes.

The five week course, entitled "A.T. Stewart's Garden City," will begin on April 1 st and be held at the Garden City High School on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. The last class will be held in the Cathedral of the Incarnation and will include a tour of the crypt.

This is an opportunity to learn all the stories behind A.T. Stewart and Garden City's fascinating past. Mr. Kordes, who has written countless articles on Garden City and its history, produced two documentary films and recently published the second edition of his popular book "Visions of Garden City," he will explore the life and times of A.T. Stewart, the events leading to the founding of the Village and its 140 year history.
