Gala Draws Animal Loving Supporters
2009-03-13 / Community
The Pet Peeves 7th Anniversary Gala recently raised considerable support and awareness for Long Island's forsaken furry population at no-kill shelters and the rescue groups that save them, as well as humane education and pet therapy programs. More than $75,000 in grants were distributed to various animal-oriented not-for profits in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Pet Peeves, "the voice of Long Island pets," is Long Island's foremost animal advocacy groups.
Pet Peeves Board members: Ralph Sepe, Gladys Ahrens, Susan M. McKenna, Diane Lazuta, Janine Dion ~ Founder & President, Karen Strom, Arthur Sanders, Laurie J. Bloom, Sue Fragale of Garden City and Arlene Lee.
