All of our teams continue to excel in the highly competitive Island Garden Super League. Here are some of the latest highlights: GRANVILLE 3RD BOYS improved their record to 15-2 (good for first place) by beating the 4th grade MDP Patriots 30-13 on Thurs Feb 26th. The 3rd graders held this 4th grade team scoreless for the entire first half with suffocating defense. Brendan McGuire was the man in the middle blocking shots, Liam Muldoon slashed to the basket after quick steals and Cole Dutton hit the boards. The 3rd graders have one game left before playoffs start... HAMMERSLEY FLYERS continue to improve led by the pressing defense of Will Hammersley and Nick Sarkis... RAPHAEL 6TH GIRLS moved up in the standings, now in the top four of a fifteen team division thanks to the inside play of Catherine Parente and outside shootingof Anne Kane... GRANVILLE 6TH BOYS beat the Manhattan based Fast Break Team 61-39 on Sun March 1st. All the members of the team scored at least 4 points in the winning effort. Jonathan Granville sliced and diced his way to the basket, Lucas Hildreth was unstoppable in the middle and Colin D'Angelo utilized his lightning speed for lay ups on the run.
