GCAA Challenger Basketball - 2009
GCAA Challenger Basketball Players - number one in your programs and number one in your hearts
GCAA 2009 Challenger Basketball Program has been going strong since early January of this year. Every Saturday afternoon dozens of players gather at Garden City Middle School with one objective in mind - play some serious hoops! Prior to the start of competition both players and coaches go through a very, very strenuous exercise program, which helps everybody involved loosen up and pre-pare for the competitive games played each Saturday afternoon. I cannot speak for everybody - but ten jumping jacks will push this coach to his limits.
Under the watchful eyes of dedicated coaches composed of adults and Student Volunteers from the Garden City School District (Paige Wagner, Krissy Muncan, Paige Vincent, Brian Fisher, Jack Fisher, James Wright, and Thomas Wright) players are coached on basketball fundamentals. It is extremely gratifying to witness steady improvement every week by all players in the area of dribbling, passing, shooting, and most of all teamwork / good sportsmanship! March Madness at the college level cannot come close to the intense level of enthusiasm displayed each week by players and coaches in attendance.
George with a long shot for two points - yessss it is good
