Irish Eyes Were Smiling

Eighth graders lead the group. There was a chill in the air, and a lot of wind, but it didn't stop Saint Anne's school from marching proudly in the Garden City St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday. Over 100 students, band members, parents and teachers bundled up and accessorized their uniforms with lots of green and Irish wool. Their fingers and toes were numb, but they had smiles on their faces. Parent, Trish Farelli lead the charge by coordinating the whole effort. Afterwards the school families gathered back at Saint Anne's for an afternoon of corned beef sandwiches, bagpipers and Irish dancing. It was a great day for all!
