Middle School Students Selected To Prestigious Orchestras

Based on auditions, fourteen young musicians from Garden City Middle School have been selected to play in orchestras outside of school. All of the orchestras maintain very high admission standards, and are considered outstanding. "These are the most prestigious orchestras that students can gain acceptance to," commented music teacher, Mrs. Margaret Gullotta (pictured, at left).

Congratulations to the following: Elizabeth Gee (7), Children's Orchestra Society; Harrison Will (8), Gemini Youth Orchestra; Anne Foxen (8), Emma Gong (6), Justin Gong (7), Joseph Lozano (7), Katarina Marschhausen (8), and Emily Spain (8), Metropolitan Youth Orchestra; Iris Chang (7, missing from photo), Amanda Fabus (6), Bettina Hughes (8), and Erin McGowan (8), Orchestra for Talented Youth; Lindsey DeMars, Susuki Chamber Orchestra; Teresa Pietromonoco (7), The New York Young Musician's Ensemble.
