Selected As Student Ambassador
Nicholas Genovese, Garden City High School 9th grade student, has been accepted into the People to People teen ambassador Leadership Program. Nicholas will join a select group of student delegates from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and other states around the country. They will travel from England to France and Italy will to explore European Culture, and its impact on American culture. The mission of the program is to promote world peace through increased understanding between the citizens of the world.
Nicholas was nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.
The program is coordinated by People to People Leadership Programs to fulfill the vision President Dwight D. Eisenhower had for fostering world citizenship when he founded People to People during his presidency in 1956. For additional information please visit www.wlfleaders.org.
