"In this time of an economic crisis, the cost of medication and ones health should not be spared. The health and well being of my constituents is among my top concerns. For that reason, I would like to inform the public of a community health and wellness program that Stop & Shop stores has announced".

From now until March 21, 2009 customers who present a valid prescription will be able to receive free antibiotics. These programs are only available at Stop & Shop stores that has an operating pharmacy located inside. "This is a great opportunity for people to receive the medication they need and to not feel the burden of cost that the health care system has placed on antibiotics" stated Assemblyman McKevitt.

Constituents should not have to chose between getting their antibiotics or paying for bills. For a limited time a grouping of thirty six antibiotics in nine basic categories will be available to customers. Some of these antibiotics include Amoxicillin, Ciprofloxacin and Penicillin.
