The Garden City Public Library will host "All About Grandparenting", the first in a series of Senior Connections Public Forums, on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 1:30 - 3 PM. The presenter will be Bridget Castellano, the founder and executive director of the civil rights organization known as The National Committee of Grandparents for Grandchildren's Rights. Mrs. Castellano has gained recognition as an authority on fighting for the rights of children.

This Spring Senior Connections will hold a series of informative and interesting Public Forums on topics related to life in the senior years. The second forum about the 2009 Regulations on Medicare and Medicaid will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. The third program focusing on "Education in Retirement" will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. All of the programs will be conducted in the large meeting room from 1:30 PM to 3 PM on the Library's lower level. Refreshments will be served and an elevator is available. No registration is required.
