ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6, Gathering Time, the harmony trio, which combines the social consciousness of Peter, Paul & Mary with the harmonic complexity of Crosby, Stills & Nash, will take to the Garden Stage, in the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau in Garden City, at 8 p.m. The two-hour concert will feature songs from the group's new CD, Songs of Hope and Freedom, as well as songs slated for future albums, and a few choice cover songs by iconic groups of the folk-rock era. ON MARCH 2, DETECTIVES arrested an 18-year-old GC male in connection with a March 1 incident where he had threatened to kill a 17-year-old GC male at his residence... BETWEEN FEBRUARY 28 and March 1, someone broke the front side window to a 2003 Ford parked in a field near Vassar St. and took $500 in cash and a backpack as well as an iTouch valued at $450... DURING THAT SAME period of time, someone smashed a vending machine at the St. Paul's Field House. $1500 in damage... AGAIN IN THAT same time frame, someone damaged a rear window of a Honda Pilot parked at Kensignton Rd. $200 damage... Between February 27 and 28, signs were uplifted and left on the ground, damaging a nearby light post, at the GC Jewish Center... ON FEBRUARY 27, a truck stop was conducted at NHP Road with 13 trucks inspected, 7 trucks taken out of service, and 58 tickets issued... On February 27, 7:15 p.m., someone possibly used a bb gun to damage the front windows of a Huntington Road house... ON FEBRUARY 28, a brick was thrown through the window of a 2002 Mercury parked in a Transverse Rd. driveway. $500 damage... THE REAR WINDOW of a Dodge Minivan was found broken at a Kensington Rd. residence on March 1... ON FEBRUARY 25, a thief took 4 Rogaine kits valued at $200 from CVS... ON FEBRUARY 27, detectives arrested a 30-year-old Mineola man for aggravated harassment, stemming from an incident on January 28 where he allegedly made threatening and obscene text messages from a cell phone to an individual at GC Plaza... ON MARCH 1, police arrested a motorist at Meadow Street where there were switched license plates on the car, and there was also a code warrant from Hempstead Village on that person... ON MARCH 1, 2 GC juveniles were arrested for an incident on February 17, where they had allegedly caused a broken thumb in an assault on a 15-year-old West Hempstead male...
