Christopher Risi , son of Karen and Joseph Risi of Garden City, and a student at Hamilton College, is studying in Washington, D.C., for the spring 2009 semester.

The Hamilton Program in Washington has become wellknown in Congress and in a variety of executive agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) The program is structured so that participants spend four days a week as full-time staff members in a Congressional office or in an executive or NGO placement. The students also participate in an academic seminar and visit important institutions throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

Risi, a junior, is a graduate of Garden City Senior High School. He is interning with the Office of Representative Joe Crowley.
