After a presentation by WBAI's Arnell Dowret, children of all ages dissected owl pellets, extracted DNA from strawberries, saw a volcano erupt, and presented science experiments. Dr. Thomas Roser of Brookhaven National Laboratory made cosmic rays visible to the naked eye in a diffusion cloud chamber, and 13-year old art student Alex Capetandes of West Hempstead presented 20 original drawings of Darwin's birds and animals. Science-related crafts, games, food, and fun ruled the day.
