(Photos by John Ellis Kordes) On Friday afternoon, February 6, the Garden City Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new branch of the Flushing Bank, located at 1122 Franklin Avenue, to the Garden City business community. In attendance were officials of the bank, the Village of Garden City and the Chamber. Said John R. Buran, president and chief executive officer, "by launching our new Flushing Bank office on Franklin Avenue in Garden City, we have further expanded our branch footprint into Nassau County and enhanced our ability to serve this vibrant market area with a full complement of products and services to consumers, business owners and operators, professionals, commercial real estate clients and government entities."
