First, to John Whitman, whose final win in the last match of the competition sealed it for Garden City in a nail-biter ending with a total score of 34-29. To Danny Lofrese for breaking the Garden City wrestling record with his 128 th and 129 th wins. To younger brother, Michael Lofrese, for his 60 th win as a freshman. Matty Schmelzinger helped greatly by defeating the #1 wrestler in his weight class. Connor Horl continued his perfect season of domination with two more key wins. To Alex Zingal and Drew Lacurto for two key wins when needed. To the two super 7 th graders, Jack Reina and Danny Jones, who won all their matches for the tournament and to every other boy on the team for their wins and contributions to earning this trophy.

Coaches Czackor, Sclafani and Biehoff as well as the parents are very proud of the boys for their big win in this tough, demanding sport.
