K of C Free-Throw Championship
      The opening "Council Division" competition of the 2009 Knights of Columbus International Free-Throw Championship will be held on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1 from 1 to 3 P.M. in St. Anne's McCloskey Auditorium, New Hyde Park Road and Dartmouth Street, Garden City. according to "Msgr. John's Knights" Grand Knight Basil Bliss and Event Chairman "Jay" Lynch.

Girls Varsity Track
      The girls turned in another solid performance at their Crossover meet at Suffolk Community College a week ago Tuesday to close out 2008. Facing competition from Conference rivals the girls ran and jumped to several wins and many other good showings, even with a small squad. In the high jump, Michelle Rotondo took first place with a jump of 5 feet.
